Milford Track Gear List
Here’s my first ever kit video I made for our preparation for Milford Track Great Walks in New Zealand.
Below is the list of kit I took with me. Milford is a very popular trail and the numbers are limited to protect the nature. Camping is not permitted on Milford track, so the only option is to stay in huts. There are DOC huts, which are basic and cheap and private lodges which offer bedding and meals. We went with the latter, as DOC hut passes were sold out months before we even were planning the trip. Most things, especially affordable ones get booked up very early in NZ (often by locals) leaving late bookers more expensive options. Due to bed & meals, I didn’t have to carry sleeping system, cooking system or shelter.
