Dan Durston was a guest on Andy Parrish Outdoors podcast recently to talk about Pro 1 history and how it came to be including some design choices & decisions. Pro series has been in development since the collaboration with Drop. Here’s some other key points from the podcast.

• First batch of Pro 1 was launched and sold out in 2 days, shipping ongoing

• Next batch of Pro 1 is coming in April / May 2023

• Next batch of Pro 2 2023 is available on backorder for April 2023 delivery

• Target for 2024 to have Pros consistently in stock

• Regular inners will be available in 2024 when all the tents will be sold directly from Durstongear.com

• Dan would like to offer a modular option to buy SilPoly or DCF flyes with mesh or solid inners with earliest possibility is 2024 - 2025. I suggested the modular approach in Durston Gearheads FB group last summer. I can’t claim coming up with the idea, but I’d like to think my comments have pushed the concept forward, as Solid DCF double wall would be perfect for UK conditions.

• Dan is planning a hiking pole, which might be out in 1.5 - 2 years.

• Dan personally uses Pro 1 in good weather trips and Solid for bad weather trips.
